Eric Prydz it’s far away from music, not because he isn’t one of the TOP DJs in today’s panorama but because what he offers it’s something completly different than just music. His 3D hologram shows have been amazing people of the world for some years. He was part of the Swedish House Mafia. Maybe you might like his music, maybe don’t (personally I like and he have some hits such as call on me, pjano or opus, everybody likes opus I guess), but there is something clear, he smash the crowd with the best show. I’ve saw it few times in Ibiza and each time it’s just… “Wow, Unbelievable” .
He started with his EPIC shows on 2010 with Gabriel Casanova (a visual designer from Barcelona), under the company RES from London, using Avolites Titan Ai. It was on 2014 he performed EPIC 3.0 with the worlds largest indoor hologram (20m and 4K resolution) with 32 lasers. He did until EPIC 5.0 then he change the name of his show.
Today he’s performing HOLO show. Anyway, what we can say? Thank you Eric. He invest in lights, video, screens, etc… and he’s getting an amazing show. If you have a chance to see a show of Eric Prydz…. don’t miss it. You’ll enjoy it.
3D in the industry
Of course all the bands, DJs, performers, etc… so they try to give an amazing experience to their crowd. But this is not easy to achieve, you need bright minds, hard workers, hours and hours of design dealing with the different artists and, of course budget, to do 3D hologram shows require a lot of people, media, stuff….. But what you can achieve with this it’s amazing. Then for sure people who saw you once will come back to your shows. And people who’ve never been in any of your shows but saw some videos in facebook, youtube, any electronic music webpage or blog, ….
In today’s world, there is new music of any style daily, there is hundreds of thousands of DJs, the only thing the have to make the difference its the visuals. Video and light.
What do you think about 3D and holograms shows? Is it gonna be the future of the shows? Are they gonna invent something better than 3D hologram? Better this or better unplugged show on a stool?
